I recently joined host David O'Connor for his podcast, T is for Trauma. It was one of the most revealing and vulnerable interviews I’ve done. As I reflect on the process, I want to give some reflections from the experience.
Growing up, I did not realize I was having traumatic experiences. It was only in my adulthood that I learned the true brevity of some of the moments that shaped my life, my mindset, and my mentality.
Over the last several years, I have partnered with God, therapists, and family to heal past wounds. By the grace of God, I’ve seen wounds turn to scars that are part of my testimony.
Because of God’s grace, I look back at the past with a level of grace and forgiveness. People in our lives do the best they can based on where they are in life. In the end, we have the power to heal, grow, and put the narrative of our story back in the hands of the author and finisher of our faith.
I pray that this interview inspires and empowers you if there is healing work required in your life.
