MOTIVATIONAL
SPEAKER
Maurice F. Martin is an in-demand keynote speaker who empowers organizations, educators, and leaders to overcome burnout, build authentic leadership, and achieve lasting transformation.
Transformational Coach
Maurice’s journey to becoming a transformational coach is deeply rooted in his own struggles with addiction, mental health, and hopelessness. At his lowest point, he faced thoughts of suicide and battled addiction in silence, often appearing successful to the outside world while feeling lost and broken inside. It was in this moment of darkness that Maurice realized he needed help and made the decision to seek the support he so desperately needed.
This pivotal shift in his life ignited a passion to help others who are facing similar battles. Maurice became an addiction counselor and obtained multiple coaching certifications. With a heart for those who feel stuck, burned out, or broken, Maurice’s mission is to guide individuals toward healing, hope, and a life of purpose.
BESTSELLING AUTHOR
Maurice’s second book, Your But Is Too Big, became a #1 bestseller in Christian Counseling and Christian Living, where he poured his heart into sharing his battles with depression, addiction, and suicidal thoughts—and how he overcame them. His first book, Save the Day, inspires readers to stop running from what God has called them to and embrace their purpose with courage and faith.
Faith Life
Faith has been the foundation of Maurice’s journey, shaping both his personal life and professional mission. He is an ordained reverend, an affirmed apostle, and a certified Christian counselor. Having overcome some of life’s toughest battles, Maurice understands the power of faith, healing, and purpose. Today, he uses his voice and his calling to help others walk in authenticity, embrace their God-given potential, and lead with integrity. Whether in the pulpit or the boardroom, faith remains at the heart of everything he does.
Personal Life
Maurice grew up in Ohio and graduated from Kent State University. Today, he lives in Akron with his wife, Ashleigh, and their two children. Together, they enjoy family adventures, creating lasting memories, and cheering each other on in every season of life.
MUSIC & MENTORSHIP
In his 20s, Maurice was known for his soulful voice as the lead singer of the band Winslow. Voted Cleveland’s Best Vocalist at the Cleveland Music Awards, Maurice made a lasting impact on the city’s music scene. As a songwriter with Winslow, he helped the band secure national licensing deals with major networks including MTV, VH1, E!, and The Discovery Network. He also wrote and performed the theme song for Dawg’s on the Run on Cleveland’s ABC affiliate, News Channel 5.
Today, Maurice pours his passion for music into mentoring the next generation. Through the Power of Harmony program, he teaches youth how music can be a powerful tool for connection, self-expression, and healing—showing them that finding their voice can change their life.
